About this notice
PurelyDate is operated by Zouhair Youssef, an individual based in Morocco who is responsible for the service’s processing of personal data. Applicable CNDP notification and overseas-transfer formalities remain pending; this notice does not claim regulatory approval.
Information we use
We store your email and authentication records, declared date of birth, profile details, preferences, photos, likes, messages, activity interests, blocks and reports. Your private video history records whom you connected with and when, plus text exchanged during calls. Video history and its text are deleted after 30 days. Live video pairing and connection signals are temporary; PurelyDate does not store call audio or video. If you choose to submit a verification selfie, it is kept separately from your member gallery.
Activity interests
Joining an activity shares your profile with eligible members for 24 hours while discovery visibility is enabled. You can leave at any time. We keep only your current or most recent selection per activity, not a history of participation. These records are removed when your account is deleted.
Visibility and your choices
Profiles start hidden. You control discovery visibility, country sharing and extra gallery sharing. Other eligible members see a limited profile; raw account details and verification selfies stay private. Blocking ends access between the two accounts.
How information is used
We use account information to provide sign-in, profiles, mutual matching, messages, abuse prevention and support. The public contact form sends your name, email, topic and message to our support mailbox; the hosting server temporarily counts submissions from a hashed IP to limit spam. Product-update emails require separate opt-in. We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
Hostinger hosts this website and sends account emails. Supabase provides authentication, the database and private file storage in the Paris region. During optional live video calls, Metered relays encrypted media and processes connection metadata; relay traffic may pass through regions outside France. PurelyDate does not record calls. When you sign in, the site asks Country.is for an approximate country based on your device IP and shows its flag in the dashboard. If your profile country is blank when you edit it, the site uses this approximate country as a suggestion. If you choose “Use precise location,” your browser requests GPS permission and sends its coordinates to BigDataCloud to determine your country; PurelyDate stores only the country, not the coordinates. A profile country can be affected by VPNs, device settings or user edits and is not proof of residence. Starting random video chat checks the approximate IP country supplied by Supabase’s edge gateway, without an additional IP lookup service. We store only the resulting country code with your active sign-in session for up to two hours, never the raw IP in our location table. Other callers see the approximate country, or your declared profile country if detection is unavailable, only when you enable country sharing. VPNs and mobile networks can affect the result.
Photo processing
Uploaded gallery photos and verification selfies are decoded and re-encoded on the server before storage. This removes embedded metadata and rejects invalid image files. These technical checks do not verify identity or approve image content.
Cookies and analytics
Essential browser storage keeps you signed in and remembers your choices. While you use the member app, short-lived presence shows how many members are currently active. If you accept usage analytics, we measure active foreground time after inactivity and hidden-tab checks. We keep per-account daily usage for up to 30 days and aggregate daily statistics for up to one year. Administrators see protected summaries of registered members, declared country, gender, age, reports and actual feedback ratings. Private conversations, passwords and profile forms are not recorded for analytics. With analytics consent, Google Analytics 4 receives page views and limited conversion events, and may process device and approximate-location information under Google’s policies. We do not send profile details, private conversations, passwords, photos or form contents to Google Analytics. Public-page heatmaps are not connected. You can change your cookie choices from the footer.
Required and optional information
An email address, password or Google sign-in, username, display name, declared birthday and gender selection are needed to create an account. A gender option allows you not to disclose it. Profile photos and details are needed to complete a discovery profile. Sharing additional photos, a country or a verification selfie, and receiving product updates are optional.
Retention and your rights
You can delete your account from Settings → Account security. A fresh sign-in is required. Deletion hides your profile immediately, removes private photos and selfies, then deletes your account, preferences, likes and conversations. If cleanup fails, your profile stays hidden and you can retry or contact support. Reports submitted by other members may be retained for safety review, and provider backups may persist until their retention cycle expires. For access, correction, objection or help with deletion, contact support@purelydate.online using your registered email.
Age and verification
PurelyDate is for adults 18+. A declared birthday is not proof of identity. Verification selfies are optional and pending review; do not submit government identity documents.
